Authentic signed work by the renowned Greek painter Christos Pallantzas. It is a still life in oil on canvas. The dimensions of the work are 20x30 cm and the dimensions with the frame are 39.5x49.5 cm. I sent photos and contacted the artist by phone, who confirmed that the work is his and informed me that the frame was also designed by him. The signature and date (1999) are visible in red at the bottom left. The work and the frame are in excellent condition.

He was born in Larissa, 1962.
1983-89 Studied painting at the Athens School of Fine Arts with professors D. Mytaras, D. Kokkinidis, and N. Kessanlis, Byzantine icon technique (iconography), fresco with professor K. Xinopoulos, and mosaic with G. Valavanidis. Art history with professor M. Lampraki-Plaka, history of architecture and rhythmology with professors I. Karatzoglou and S. Kontaratos. Introduction to Aesthetics, Art Theory, and Philosophy with professor P. Christodoulidis. Pedagogical Psychology and didactics with professor Danasis-Afentakis.
1990-92 With a scholarship from the French government, he continued postgraduate studies at the Ecole Nationale Superieure des Beaux-Arts de Paris with teacher Pierre Carron.
1988-90 Worked as a painter-museum educator in the educational programs of the Ministry of Culture THE BIRTH OF WRITING.
1992-93 Taught painting in the first three grades of the 25th Primary School of Perissos.
1997-98 Taught drawing and painting in the Applied Painting department at AKTO schools.
2011-13 Worked at the Child Psychiatry Clinic of the University Hospital of Children 'Agia Sofia' as an art therapist in the Mental Health Promotion program for children and adolescents with chronic physical illness.
He gives private lessons in painting and drawing to prospective students of the School of Fine Arts.
His works are in the National Gallery, in the Gallery of Florina, in the Kouvoutsakis Gallery, at the Frysira Museum, in the collections of the Agricultural Bank, Papastratos, AGET Iraklis, and in other public and private collections in Greece and abroad.
He has illustrated many calendars for private companies and was selected among the most important Greek artists to represent contemporary Greek art with his work during the 2004 Olympic Games.
