It is an award-winning stop-motion dark fantasy film from the production company LAIKA Studios, based on the eponymous novella by Neil Gaiman and directed by Henry Selick (known for "The Nightmare Before Christmas" by Tim Burton).

Movie Summary: The story follows 11-year-old Coraline Jones, who moves with her busy parents to an old house in the countryside. Feeling neglected, she discovers a secret door that leads to an alternate, seemingly ideal world. In this parallel world, everything seems better: her "Other Parents" are attentive and the food is delicious, with the only disturbing difference being that everyone has buttons instead of eyes. However, soon the "Other Mother" tries to keep her there forever, and Coraline must summon all her courage to save her real family and the souls of other lost children.
