Saint George, icon from the 1950s, chromolithograph of German printing

My grandmother on my mother's side was a deeply religious person who loved God and the Church. Whenever her strength allowed, she would go on a pilgrimage to Sinai, since we lived in Egypt, or – when the family's finances allowed – to Tinos or other holy places. My grandmother lived with us, and I remember her room when I was little. The lighting was dim, and there was always a subtle scent of incense and sage. The decoration was very simple: apart from the photos of my grandfather (whom she lost early), her children, and her grandchildren, she had icons-family heirlooms and souvenirs from the places she had visited on these pilgrimages. The icon of St. George is from the 1950s, perhaps even older. It is a chromolithograph on paper, placed in a wooden frame, with a cord to hang on the wall and a stand to place on furniture. The printing was done in Germany by a Catholic publishing house with the approval of the Diocese of Limburg (Limburgensis). It bears an inscription in various languages (English, German, Italian, Spanish, Hungarian). Specifically, at the bottom, it reads "37056 HL. GEORG. ST.GEORGE AND THE DRAGON. ST GEORGES. S. GIORGIO. S. JORGE. PRINTED IN GERMANY. Z icte" and on the right side, it reads "SZT. GYÖRGY. Imprimi permitttitur. Ordinariatus episcopalis Limburgensis". The dimensions of the frame are (approximately) 22x31 cm. The icon (as well as the frame) is in good condition, with mild signs of wear that probably add to its prestige. It is sold as you see it in the photos. I am a private individual. All items come from personal or family collection. I take great care in packaging. Orders are shipped within 1-3 days.
